Our Advice Process
When developing a financial plan for you, known as a Statement of Advice (SOA), our financial advisers will follow a structured process to help understand your needs and recommend an appropriate strategy. Our six-step financial plann
ing process is as follows:
1. Gather your financial information – At your initial consultation, our advisers will complete a Data Collection questionnaire which maps out your current personal circumstances, objectives and personal risk profile.
2. Identify your goals – At your initial consultation, we will also discuss your goals and objectives and how you might go about achieving them.
3. Identify financial issues – Following your initial consultation your adviser will identify the strengths and weaknesses of your current financial position, taking into account your goals and life stage and will research options for you to consider.
4. Prepare your financial Plan (statement of advice) – We will then prepare a written financial plan (statement of advice) which will contain detailed recommendations and strategies on how you can improve your financial well being and achieve your financial goals.
5. Implement the recommendations – Once you have had time to reviewed and consider the financial plan we will then assist you with its implementation. We will handle all the administration and prepare all the necessary paperwork.
6. Ongoing review – We will revise our recommendations at regular intervals or when your circumstances change. We stay in close communication with you and recommend we meet at least once a year to review your situation. For many of our clients we also provide them with quarterly reports that detail the individual investments in their portfolio as well as any investment recommendation we feel are appropriate.
